Automating Manual Test Cases
Mercury Business Process Testing introduces
the concept of reusable business components for test design.
This construct drastically reduce test maintenance and improve
test creation efficiency. It enables the creation of data-driven
manual test libraries in a fraction of the time of traditional
test design solutions. Once a manual test case has been
designed in Mercury Business Process Testing, it is easy
to transition the same test case to automation, without
losing existing design work.
To automate manual test cases, the solution
enables quality engineers to leverage Mercury Functional
Testing (ie: WinRunner or QuickTest Professional) to automate
the existing componentized test definitions through a technology
known as Keyword Driven testing. Through the use of these
reusable business components, subject matter experts can
leverage these same automated assets in the design of future
test cases with no re-work.

is fully integrated into Mercury Quality Center™.
